Woolworths
December 4, 2008
For more years than we can remember Woolworths has been one of the first retailers names that came to mind when looking for CDs, DVDs, Books, Gadgets, Toys, Consoles & Games, and of course not forgetting Pic ‘n’ Mix. November 26th 2008 was the day they way i which we shop online changed as it was announced that Woolworths had gone into administration.
Now although this recent news was being predicted by many, the timing, just before Christmas, does leave a somewhat of a void in places that you can do you shopping online this Christmas. So, to help you out we are putingt together a series of posts of Alternatives to Woolworths for your convenience.
No 1 on our list, is in our opinion one of the biggest online brands and success stories of online retailing.
Amazon (Click the link to visit Amazon)
Amazon feature everything Woolworths did and more. One of the main problems you will have at Amazon is that they cross sell nearly every product they have so you will end up spending more money that you had originally intended. This however is not all bad as you will find that you will be able to buy many of your Christmas Presents in the one place and at the same time take advantage of their FREE delivery.
If out of their milions of products you can’t decide which presents to buy, Amazon also offer their own Amazon Gift Certificate as per the info below;
Amazon.co.uk Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates from Amazon.co.uk are the perfect present for every occasion. Whether it’s for a birthday, wedding or to reward someone–everyone is pleased to receive a Gift Certificate from Amazon.co.uk, especially of course for Christmas.
